You know, I loved your post, minus one small detail. I realize my complaint is petty, but generalizing still rather annoys me. I'm in a band, I love many different types of music, I know my band isn't the best ever, we just try to play to our fullest potential and have the most fun doing it. My music career may die after high school, it may not, personally I think it is all up to yourself on if that will be the case. It's hard not to be an asshole sometimes but I think I keep a kind attitude when dealing with other bands as well

i live in Haines City and i drive 30 minutes to come see The Crayons play. i could care less about the other bands quite frankly.

The Crayons are by far the best band in lakeland.

I agree with jidalyric about the downfall of the lakeland band community. It's a shame. Kids these days forget that it takes more talent and less attitude to be a respected entertainer.

The Crayons are definitely very good at what they do and have fun doing it. The only thing I have noticed is that some of the stuff will get to sounding a bit the same, and a few of the solos can be a bit out of key/scale...but who listens for that anyway. As long as you are playing music and enjoying it, more power to you
