Teaching University Classes
Well I submitted 2 classes to teach at university and they were both accepted. I don't know what the process is for choosing, but I feel somewhat validated. Especially because I was not real happy about one of the titles, but in retrospect it's fine and I was just being insecure ( Read more... ) -
Its My birthday!
Hi Everyone... Its my birthday. Today I am 30 (yay, I am finally a REAL grownup). I love my b-day because its the only day of the year when its not entirely innapropriate to insist that everyone pay attention to me and encourage them to shower me with gifts. So its raining today, but I chose not to wear my raincoat. DOY! Oh well I can handle being wet. OF all the things that piss me off, being rained on is not a biggie.

Tuesday... The worst of all week days
I was at a loss for a way to begin my post, and athough it sounds whiny, it isnt. Its just that nothing special ever happens on tuesdays. There is still SOO much week left. Job Search panic/Discouragement/Rant
So I am feeling very discouraged. I graduated from college in May and I still am not working full time. I am lucky to have a temp job, but right now it is really getting me down. Politics- Does being a POW prepare you to run a country?
So, I am not a big supporter of Obama or McCain. I liked Hillary, but I will probably vote Green party in November. That being said. Why do people think that McCain is a good Choice because he was in a POW camp and was a vietnam Vet? I have a Shoe!
So, I have completed the left shoe. It is beautiful. It has lovely little cut outs on the sides and is very delicate and dainty. the toe is nicely pointed due to a single lacing technique which I figured out only by trial and error. It was tiring for my hands, but I hope to finish the right one tonight. And then dye them both black. that ( Read more... ) -

Who knew that Megadeath put out an album last year? Its pretty awsome actually.

Back to the shoes
Thanks to the help from Badouin I got my shoes on a better track last night. On the first one, I trimmed the part that goes across the top of my foot so it isnt too big. I sewed up the heel and trimmed the toe flaps to a reasonable length. tonight I will try to re-cut the toe flaps and lace them up . If that works, then I can Take it apart ( Read more... )
