Critique, re-writing, and all the messy stuff...
I've heard that most writers have to go through eleven drafts of a story before it's finished. I like Terry Pratchett's idea of the 'Draft Zero', and that's what I've been calling the first try, miserable little construct that it is. E.E. I was recently pointed in one of the writing craft blogs I read here: http://www.librarything.com/Library thing. You put all the books in your library into your profile (or all the books you've ever read, perhaps). It lets you rate the books, it shows you people with similar tastes, it recommends new books, and it even recognizes my obscure ( Read more... )
