Erik's backpack, not in Mongolia
Today Mom and I picked up Erik's backpack at the Oakland Police's Property Department. We were told his bike is somewhere else. This task of going to grim places to get back parts of Erik seems like it will never end. But there is something particularly hideous about his backpack being here, and him not. At last 12 of 12 has fallen on some more interesting times for me! graymalkn and I are up in Eureka, in northern California, for a little redwoods, fine ice cream, wet feet, etc. Alas, no Kinetic Sculpture Race for us this year!-said graymalkn has to be in New Orleans then. Barmy and Heather in Wonderland
Barmy in Wonderland is a late P.G. Wodehouse book that I had never even heard of before a few weeks ago in Green Apple Books, the labyrinthine Clement St. bookstore. I promise you, every other day this week, I got out of the house, I saw people, I did things. Yeah, maybe they were even interesting things! But today being 12 of 12, of course I stayed in and worked. Sorry about that. Happy bday to graymalkn 's and my dad, though. Yes, we have so much in common that our dads even share a birthday. It is uncanny.

Mafia Wars and Martha Stewart
These are my new secret obsessions. Semi-obsessions. Also Farmville. I started playing Mafia Wars and Farmville in case I apply for a job at Zynga-I'm told it's mandatory. Good street cred, you know.
