I think I'm unintentionally starting a tradition of taking a break from LJ during most of the winter. Last winter, I at least managed to keep up with my LJ friends and update my journal once in a while. This winter, not so much. Crazy week
Wow, what a week! Monday I went to work, Tuesday I flew to Pullman, Wednesday I conducted my final WCN training class (for WSU, EWU, et al.), flew home Wednesday night, worked Thurday, went to see Lucy Thursday night, worked Friday (finally got pretty much caught up), and took Tina out to see Drive By Truckers for her birthday last night. The conference is done
Phew! As far as I could tell (from an organizer's standpoint), the NWILL conference went absolutely swimmingly this year. It helped, of course, that I wasn't sick, and also that I had a year of experience under my belt. Why hello LJ, what have you been up to lately?
I've been busy, but probably not busy enough to justify taking a near-month break from LJ. Ah well, these things do happen.
When I returned from Faculty Field Tour, I was exhausted. It was a kind of exhaustion that I don't remember ever having experienced before, and I think it was from being in social overdrive 10 hours a day for a full week. My ( Read more... ) -
June...
June is almost gone. All I have to do is blink and it will be July.
Dad visited earlier in the month and we had a great time. On the first day I took him to see UWB and on the second we went to Snohomish Falls and Cougar Mountain. It rained, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway.

I was going to try to make it down to the market this morning but woke up with a sore throat (again) and when I looked at my very-full produce drawer I decided to wait until next week.
