Okay, on a happier note. Potatoes cooked in red wine, a couple of bay leaves, a bit of black pepper and salt - cooled, then tossed with chives and olive oil. Hot damn is that good.

Oh the madness of it all ... bwa ha ha ha ... I just tempura-ed elderflower blossoms. Japanese-German fusion .... I can't stop laughing from the sheer giddiness of it all. They were fantastic.

Hi to all who emailed about the school shooting in Germany. This recent shooting is quite far from me, in a total other province. However, the reverberations are felt even here.
