I also get disappointed when I learn that some of my favorite words aren't even Hebrew. Humph.

Then what is a table in Hebrew?!

What makes him say that the Hebrew word shulchan comes from the Arabic word thalach as opposed to the Arabic word thalach coming from the Hebrew word shulchan?

Anyway, obviously there were other languages around at the time that the Torah was given.
