this was fantastic. just the whole imagery of slowly sinking into depravity and the darkness of night was vivid. you described it so well. i also liked the repeated use of the loaded gun at the end of each stanza, it really made the poem move along at a good pace. great stuff. keep it up

seeing as i don't really have that much of a heritage. that is, one must look back many a generation before finding some form of culture, because let's face it, australia, as a country isn't brimming with culture. and even when one gets there i'm irish which i've never felt a strong connection to and over those generations it's been diluted greatly ( Read more... )

Can genius be forced? Or is creativity something that just occurs sporadically? Can person truly be creative for a living? How do you settle creative brilliance into a 9 to 5 job and make it occur. Surely forced creativity cannot be as enjoyable to experience as something that occurs out of natural instinct.
