Here's an annoying "what I did today" post, which I feel the need to post because I have been happy all day and I really haven't been in a long time, so this is significant. I woke up and went for a long walk in the September weather to the library, and accordingly am in possession of shiny books, one of which is a novel I haven't read yet by one ( Read more... ) -

Just sent a pissed-off email to my writing group that I'm already regretting. I was stung into responding quite angrily, which will lessen the chance my points will be acknowledged, but even moreso I regret it because we're all going to be on a 4 day writing retreat with each other in less than 48 hours, and if things are not dealt with before then ( Read more... ) -
Much Progress
Had the best trip to the Shakespeare Festival I've had in years. Came home with every member of the family having done everything they wanted to do without a single fight (be amazed), lots of loot, and (commiserate with me) an entire new novel to add to the "List of Novels I must somehow complete before I die." I am about to get my wisdom teeth out. I have ridiculous amounts of anxiety about this. Everyone's been telling me their wisdom teeth horror stories too--you know, to help me relax. Urgh!
At least I got a few days off work. There is no way I'm going back in tomorrow and getting bonked in the head. -
Any gardeners on the f-list?
I am looking to plant something in my tiny garden patch that a) blooms yellow and b) I cannot possibly kill. Be advised that I am a serial plant killer, and also that the soil in my garden is pretty much clay. The plant would get partial sunlight and not too much water. Any suggestions? -
