This clip of Morrissey, Johnny Marr, and Sandy Shaw spreading charm and cheer to a gaggle of grade schoolers is so very sweet. A must-see for Smiths fans with kids, ahem.

Yesterday I arrived home from the parents' place in time to catch a most amusing segment on the local late Fox news hour. "Britain's favorite lyrics" had been determined in the UK and our local anchor was assigned to read them to us. The #1 winner was U2's "One" with "One life, with each other, sisters, brothers." 'Tis true, I have little fear of drowning, my health sucks and I wouldn't mind melting into the wilderness.

Haven't read livejournal in weeks. Otherwise occupied, sort of, sort of not. I go on inexplicable kicks and am not the best at multitasking. That is all. Tryng to catch up. The weather is lovely.

This evening, for only the second time ever, I saw a Common Nighthawk in Seattle's sky. Now, this may not sound like a big deal, when this most conspicuous of Nighjars is a common sight in many parts of North America, but it's remarkable for Seattle.
