For the last week or so I've been waking up really early. Many mornings I'm getting up before 6:30. I don't have anywhere to be until 10 on some days, and until 3 in the afternoon on most weekdays. So, I had a great time in Missouri. Currently the VT congress is deliberating about a bill (H.526) which will, among other things, impose a 3.5% spending increase cap on school budgets. For a town to raise its budget more than 3.5% in a year, it will need to pass with a 60% majority instead of 51 ( Read more... )

Tonight is opening night for Lyric Theatre's production of Guys and Dolls at the Flynn Theater in Burlington.

It's a great show, and this is a great production; colorful, funny, and alive.
