I haven't posted in forever... I'm sorry for that.  I think I'll be around more often, and I hope all of you will be too.

In case anyone still checks this community, I thought I'd post this.

My Lainie died yesterday. She had turned 11 years old not long ago. I took her to the vet yesterday morning, and they gave her some medicine and said she'd be fine, but she died two hours later.

I was by her side when she died.

I miss her already.

Hi folks. Life has taken me in many new directions - new degree, new career, new town. So sad to convey that my Bosties have passed. Rascal, at age 13, this past October, due to complications from degenerative disc disease, and Obi, age 14, in March, of congestive heart failure. It broke my heart to see Lainie having to struggle to get upstairs last night. I've been having to put her in and out of bed, but so far she had been navigating the stairs okay. She's going gray before I am, and it's killing me to watch her grow old.
