so venice is a really weird neighborhood (also i am trying to write daily again) in that there are a lot of stupid rich people and there is a pretty substantial homeless population. the homeless population here is quite different than it was downtown. downtown i actively avoided Skid Row at all costs. so we spent less than 24 hours in SF this weekend. tonight we went to go see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds play at the Fonda theater, something that was livestreamed on youtube and a friend said you could clearly see us (it's a relatively small theater, general admission, we were near the stage) which is pretty cool. So I went to the podiatrist today and there was no change in my x-rays. tomorrow I'm going to have to get a CT scan. an MRI is the most optimal test, but I am not having one of those unless it's a matter of life or death. for whatever reason, MRIs set my mast cells off severely.I guess i'd rather risk it with the radiation.... i'll just pretend ( Read more... )

i fractured my foot on the volcano it looks like. this is honestly not at all surprising since a) i have osteoporosis and b) i fell twice. even if i hadn't fallen, my sneakers were -not- the right shoes for the job. it looks like it is my metatarsal bones. i will get another xray or ct scan next week, as apparently these injuries take about 2 weeks ( Read more... )
