Well, it's been about 6 months since I posted an update. The biggest reason for my "absence" is time. I spend precious little on the computer these days. When I do, I'm researching battery chargers for my tractor, or chicken breeds, or how/where to buy kerosene, how to make your own bead board or something like that. For the first year since my daughter was born (2005), I'm skipping Pennsic. Last year was so much fun being in Royal and doing so many things, that anything after would be a let down. Today is exactly 8 weeks of dieting and today I broke 20lbs of weight loss, equaling 2.5 lbs/week. I like those numbers. A couple more weeks at this rate should take off another 5 lbs and then I'll reevaluate my target weight. I'm suspecting I'll stop there. The question is, what should I do for a holding pattern. As predicted in my last update, I figured in the next few days I would break my plateau. Sure enough, 3 days later I broke through my 15lb barrier. I've now dropped as low as 17.6lbs of lost weight (yesterday). So things are going well. It's not just about numbers though, I can really see the difference around my mid-section.
