I had some leftover goat's curd (blame Yotam Ottolenghi and his lovely recipes) and was pondering ways to use it. For some reason, I thought scones would be a good idea, even though to the best of my knowledge, no-one has ever made scones with goat curd as a dough ingredient. Random London observations: Jermyn Street, 6.30pm
The two young women walking in front of me are, at a guess, in their early twenties, although this is based entirely on my looking at the backs of their heads. The word is from Latin and Sanskrit roots, "i before e except after c" does not apply.

A true story
I went to Forbidden Planet yesterday because it was my turn to buy comics and Gosh! sold out of Hellblazer last week. So I found Hellblazer and chrisisiddall in the basement, and after chatting to the latter wandered off to the GN section to see if I could spot something I vaguely fancied having a look at.
