Well we are are scheduled to come around in March so you shall be witness to the baby bump. Other than that you know that any visits to Melbourne town shall be greeted with the red carpet treatment so don't be shy!
Well it was intersting to see Trinny and Susannah (What Not To Wear) fame present their show while both pregnant and still holding their fashion banner high. Mind you to the point of wearing stilettos while pregnant. I was inspired by their efforts but I must say it's easier said than done. Towards the end of my preganancy I grew out of even some of the maternity clothes I had. I do see some pregant fashionistas around though and would like to aspire... hipsters don't hand onto a pregnant belly very well though. It will be a challenge!
We are going along like any first-born & first-time mummy. There is lots of crying on my part, not so much from him :) Advice has been offered, taken on board, rejected or gone to heart as I see fit. Everyone seems to be able to carry him with more confidence than me and I swing between totally relaxed in dealing with issues to panicking and heading to the emergency room for minor ailments. I'm hoping for my own trilogy in time. Does mothering get easier with the second or are there a whole new set of challenges? Good luck with being pregnant and taking care of you 2 other gorgeous mugwumps. I dont' think casseroles woiuld travel well from BC to Oz...
There was a huge difference between Kahlil and Hamish. The first time is the hardest because you're going through the transition of becoming a parent and you don't know what you're doing. I remember the shock and panic of waking up to cries and being so disoriented and having to fumble through each step of a nappy change without any anticipation of the next step. You know what I mean!.. Anyway that all goes with the second one. I was sick after Hamish but the parenting side of it is a breeze. By then it's hard wireed as you've literally done all the baby care stuff 1000s of times and you could literally do it all upside down, under water, at 3am and on auto pilot! You get much better at reading the signs and it all becomes so much more instinctive. It's just the first time that is so hard because it is such a dramatic psychic shift
