So gorgeous! I love the picture of Hamish, apart from the food he's looking so grown up now. And fantastic to see the latest addition at last. Looks like she's fitting right in.

Hamish is growing up! I am putting him in 3yo kinder next year (or "tinga" as he calls it) and already I can see my toddler disappearing...

Dahlia is fitting right in. Her brothers love her!

I suggest November when we are free before the Christmas frenzy begins.

Dahlia seems to be bucking the trend with greyish eyes and I do so hope they don't change. I have heard of children whose eyes changed when they were 3 so I'll have to wait and see. There's a bit of brown there but certainly nothing like the warm amber tones I see in her brothers eyes. Very slatey.

It is! I know I hit the jackpot with my kids so I mustn't complain that none of them are my splitting image. All with certain features of mine but.. the other day a stranger complimented me on my kids (as they do) and I had to be gracious despite the way it came out..

Stranger: Your children are so beautiful. They're sooo cute... They look nothing like you...

Gee thanks. :o/ Then they start fishing for the fathers nationality...

oh that's so awful! how rude people are.

people say my kids look just like me, but i can't see it at all. they look like them. i don't know how one would tell when one knows an individual face so intimately.

i had a friend years ago with a son whose father was black, and with him everyone just assumed she'd adopted him. they'd ask her where she got him from! do you ever get that? it must get very intrusive.

Yeah people can be really bad in Manila. They insisted that B couldn't be the father as they afre too gorgeous so after a while I'd say, "So you think I had an affair?" That shut them up. But it was very common for people to say to B, "Daya mo!" as in "You cheat!" That is the downside of mixed kids. I sometimes envy people their carbon copy "mini me" and wonder what it would be like to have a blue eyed, blond child but then I'd have to worry about sunburn.

But they look like each other if not their parents... as well as being quite different. They look like siblings together.
