When Real Fic is Funnier than Fandom

Jan 17, 2008 08:05

Fandom plagiarism scandals can't touch this.

I can't stop laughing.  Talk about phoning it in.  If you're going to plagiarize dialog, at least plagiarize good dialog.

Too funny.

I've been following this story for the last few days, and I adore his take on it.

"Shadow Bear" should renew the hope of every AFF author with aspirations of being published. I thought the side by side images of the ferret and the hot guy in the loincloth was particularly amusing. :)

Ahaha, the Cassie Edwards wank! I've been following it on Smartbitches and Fandom Wank with great amusement. :-D

Clearly, I need to spend more time online! Talk about a day late and a dollar short. I didn't find out about this until this morning when a friend sent me the link to Newsweek. I'm off to work now, but I'll have to pop over to SB and FW tonight to get caught up.

The mind boggles. Didn't anyone read this before they published it?

What, you mean normal people don't discuss animal migration patterns while basking in their post-coital glow?

Damn. I've been doing it wrong.

*nods sadly* I think that's why we never were heroines in bodice rippers.

That's what Mary Sues are for. Anyone can be a do-it-yourself heroine in a bodice ripper! :D

I loved the original author's response. Biting, self-effacing, but with a sense of humor.
