Thinking about you Dani

Still missing you horribly, and wishing you were here.

This is a really hard time of year. Good friends of mine just welcomed a baby girl into the world yesterday, and it just made me think about that big, corny, circle of life. I am pretty sure you would have appreciated my new LJ icon.

I've been away for some time. I came back on July 29 because I heard about the earthquake in CA and wanted to make sure people were posting and okay.  One of the first things I did was go and read Dani's journal.  I loved her-- she was funny, smart, real and just lovable.  Anyway, I read about her going back to CA and about all the problems she had ( Read more... )

this is terrible, but of course i thought of dani right away.

From time to time, I'll be thinking about something, and suddenly for no reason, I'll just be like, "make 'em say unnnngh unnnngh, na na na na."

The only time Master P references should ever be allowed.

I know it sounds weird and all, but does anyone still go back and read Dani's old posts?  I do from time to time.  Not like it feels any more like she's still with us (though I do feel like she's watching), but because through good times and bad, her journal was always a pretty fascinating peek into her head.  She was just...relatable.
