Anyone know of any job offers anywhere in the United States using Autodesk Inventor software? Or companies that use it? Or plan on using it?

Does anyone know if a Revit model can be converted to a Bentley model and not loose anything in the transformation?

Hey all,

Anyone here use Vectorworks? We're on VW 12.5 at my office, and I've imported DXF/DWGs before and had no problem. Today though, it crashes at the beginning of import. I think the architecture firm we are working with saved them as AutoCAD 2004s.

Any tips?

I recently installed the 2008 version, after using 2004. Some of the newer visual interface "aids" are driving my brain a little nuts and I was hoping someone could help me out with if/how they can be turned off ( Read more... )

I use Cad on a regular basis for my job, but I'm also interested in using it for pattern making. Are there any plugins out there that I can use to aide me in patternmaking?

sorry for this lame request post, but i'm currently in the process of learning autocad on my own. i've pretty much got all the basics down by now, but it'd really help me to have some examples of (simple!) floorplans (or elevations or whatever) which i can practice copying... basically anything I should theoretically be able to draw up ( Read more... )

I'm preparingg a document and I have several layouts in the file and in one of them I want the fiewport to show the drawing vertically as opposed to all the other ones where it is shown horizontally.  I tried simply rotating the viewport and that didn't work.  How can I achieve this without rotating the drawing in Model space?

I've been using AutoCAD for 2D drafting for 10 years now.  This past fall I learned solid modeling on AutoCAD.  Now I am trying to learn Sketchup because that is the program of choice for the people I am working with.  I think it may also have an advantage with simplified rendering as opposed to the Photo-realistic rendering that Autodesk products ( Read more... )
