I've finally finished all the wedding stationary I was booked to make this year. I have some knitting to finish for baby A, then I can start to concentrate on packing and getting ready to move back up north for a short while! Phew.

I'm off to Spain tonight - yay! I've never been, and visiting the Bajoreks in Madrid seems as good an excuse as any. Dav wants me to teach her to knit - she's interested in making her own clothes when we all go to hell in a handcart - so I'm taking thick wool, thick needles and a crochet hook as I feel that'll suit her attention span better! I went to see my cousin's fantastic band last night - The Flicks, playing with Big Hand, who were also ace. It was really good, although I wish I hadn't  drunk quite so much Guinness. Poor kid, he doesn't need me blethering on at him.
I miss hanging out with musos. Sixth form, loads of my friends were in bands - I don't know anyone who plays now!

I've been learning to lace knit. I'm making a wrap out of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran for my Gran's 80th (and being me, I'm going to have to knit on holiday and just know I'll regret the yarn choice.
It's based on Branching Out from Knitty, but I trebled the pattern to make a wrap rather than a scarf.
