Solo Show Recap
Thanks to all the well wishers from my previous posting on my solo show! The show was a long time in the making, (about ten months) and when yesterday finally arrived it felt strange, all I had to do in the final few hours was prepare a few appetizers, take a shower, and then wait until it was time to go to the gallery (about 4:45 pm).

My Solo Art Show is Tonight!
Tonight is the opening reception for my solo show of oil paintings at a local shop in downtown Hamilton, Montana. "The Frame Shop" is primarily a framing business, but they have excellent exhibition space and host about five solo shows per year. Tonight is my turn! Tonight's Sunset
Fires in the area have made the skies smoky, but it also made the sunset nice and pinky orange tonight. Some crows flew by just as I was photographing the sky.

Sun Valley/Ketchum Idaho Weekend
This weekend Clint and I took a spur-of-the-moment trip to Ketchum/Sun Valley, Idaho. I was cruising the web on Thursday, and found out the Sun Valley Art Festival was this weekend, so we decided to go.

Summer Heat
It's not that hot now, in fact it's quite lovely out, but last week it was so hot I found this big Belgian cooling off in an irrigation ditch. I thought you might enjoy seeing him, it's not a sight you see every day.

Pea Pickin'
Peas are one of my favorite vegetables to grow because they taste so great right off the vine. I got them planted late this year, but they grew and did fine and the scorching hot weather the past two weeks didn't bother the plants at all. I picked my first batch today and had them for dinner. Peas are too cute not to photograph.

Weekend Getaway
My dad has a cabin near Big Sky, Montana. He goes there every summer to spend a couple weeks fly fishing, and he usually brings along a couple of his fishing buddies. This past weekend, Clint and I drove to the cabin to visit my dad while he was there. It's a 4 1/2 hour drive from where we live in Hamilton.

A Boatload Of Ebay
Ebay announced today they will raise the fees for Store inventory listings. Nowadays I sell only occasionally on ebay, so what they do doesn’t affect me much anymore.
