Just in case the world does end at 6pm this evening and I am taken up to Heaven/thrown down to Hell, I wanted to let all my flisties know that it's been a pleasure and an honour to know you all. You've enriched my life here on earth and if we end up in Heaven/Hell together, I'm sure we'll have more fun times to come!

I might just be getting old and crotchety, but does anyone know what writing "No copyright infringement is intended" on fanfic actually means? Or whether fanfic writers have any idea what they think they mean by it ( Read more... )

First weekend I've had free for ages and ages. Which means I have to:

a) do the washing
b) tidy up
c) sleep
d) complete an interview transcript
e) attempt to dig a tape out of my VCR
f) sleep
g) look for a new super-dooper DVR thingy and ditch the now clapped out VCR
h) sleep.....

Yep, he'll do just fine. He's different enough, quirky enough and I believe he has the acting chops (having seen him on stage in The History Boys) to pull it off and give it a new spin. One of "those" days at work (yes, again) when I didn't get home until gone 8.30pm. So I downloaded the podcast of the Torchwood special episode on Radio 4 and settled down to listen for a bit of relaxation.

Next time I'll just barge off the bus. This morning I let a woman with a couple of kids go ahead of me and as the older one pushed against me, I slipped, half landed on the kerb and ended up on my knees with pains shooting up my left leg from a twisted ankle.
