The P-I and the Seattle Weekly are both reporting that local icon the Crocodile Cafe has closed its doors for good after over 15 years of operation in Belltown.

If you're a Clash, Mescaleros or Joe Strummer fan, I recommend this movie. It was a fairly balanced documentary of his life, both the light and the dark, and I learned a fair amount about his life that I hadn't known before. The director, Julien Temple, is the same guy who did The Filth and the Fury about the Sex Pistols ( Read more... )

This is my favorite Christmas song. It reminds me that even though the world is full of hatred and ugliness, they don't always have to win out. With George Bush and his cronies driving the handbasket, it's more appropriate than ever.
