How do D and I end up in these situations?
Quick update about Johns Hopkins. They confirmed I have a hole in my head, not surprising. We were there forever having tests done, but it's a fantastic hospital and I highly recommend it if anything medically bizarre happens to any of you. Hopkins tomorrow
I'm trying, with only minor success, not to be stressed about tomorrow. I have several auditory tests scheduled and then I meet with the doctor. My goal for tomorrow is to leave with surgery scheduled, but we'll see. That might be asking too much. I'm just so sick of this stupid hole in my head. I'm embarrassed to say how many bags of garbage went out of this house in the last two days, and double that number went to charity. I don't know how we piled all that crap into this house. On my way home this evening there was a long haired dachshund in the road. I stopped the car and got out. He ran from me and barked at me. I asked a man who was standing in his yard if he knew whose dog it was, but he didn't speak English. this is the plan until they cut the big hole in my head
Here's my post-job schedule. I get up around 7:30, go to the gym for half an hour, come home, shower, go to the public library. I have a 1000 words/day goal unless I'm editing and then the goal is more of a page thing that's hard to explain. I'm actually tracking my word count on Sparkpeople along with my calorie intake. this is how I spend my time
If it would ever stop raining, I could harvest my lettuce and turnips. I'm not convinced it will stop raining while I am home long enough for me to do this.
I've recently discovered that while one is waiting for surgery, Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility is a much more soothing gaming experience than Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Go figure. -

Don't watch the PBS documentary The Farmer's Wife on a day you're already kind of feeling down. It will not offer any sort of uplifting experience. -

because I know you worry
My tiny lettuce plants have not faired well in all these downpours. I found torn leaves this morning. Happily though the turnips, peppers, peas, onions and tomatoes all seem to be doing well. Still no sign of shoots from the cucumbers.
