That was an awesome race. Big Brown won by at least 5 lengths!!!!!!! I do believe we have a very good chance that he will sweep the Belmont also! If he does that, he will be the first triple crown winner since Affirmed in 1978!!!

Well 1 out of 2 of my predictions came to pass.  Eight Belles did place second. Those ferrets have had one hilarious escapade after another!!!! I think they keep trying to top the other in the craziest escape category!!!!  Two weeks ago, the bigger ferret (Fred) decided to work at the garage door until he got the sucker open and escape! We've had a bit of excitement that started on early Friday morning.  I slept through it of course but my youngest and my husband felt the ground shake. Yes, it was a 5.2 earthquake.  Around 10 am there was a nice big aftershock and then later at about a quarter to 2pm.  I felt the first aftershock but not the second. Peach died sometime this morning.  I'm glad she isn't suffering anymore. Hopefully now she is up with God sitting in his lap purring for him.  She will be missed.
