I just moved my Uromastyx Malis into a bigger enclosure (3 feet x 6 feet). These guys are too cute. For the skittish lizards they are, they have an amazing sense of curiosity. Yikes! Took my red tegu to the vet for his followup this morning. They had weighed him incorrectly the last time (all that wriggling), so he's been getting twice as much antibiotic as he needed for his weight---well, except for yesterday, when he feinted with a thrash then surprised me with a death roll and pulled the needle out. It's lizard-wrestling day again. I have to give one of my tegus antibiotic shots every third day, and now that he's feeling better, he's over three feet of slashing, thrashing fury. Not fun. Yay! My truck is home at last, with a brand-new fuel system. I saw pieces of the old one: completely rusted. It's amazing she ran at all! Poor baby! Perhaps it's utter insanity to spend so much on a 20-year-old truck, but damn it, I love that truck, and it's convenient to have a full-size truck available.
