Before you begin reading this fan fiction, I feel it is important to give some background. This fan fic was started on Saturday 13th of March, 2004. It was completed within a couple of months, and beta’d by StalkerofShadows and Izure. However, it never made it onto the internet in its entirety.
During the writing of this piece it became apparent that it was too risqué and dark to be accepted on FanFiction.Net, so the first few chapters made it onto AdultFanFiction. However, it was never fully posted due to time constraints because of Uni, and the difficult layout of AFF.N.
Centrepiece is the first fic in what was original designed to be a trilogy. The second part, Insecure, is also complete and beta’d, and has never been seen by anyone besides my beta’s. The third part, given the working title of Resurrection, was started but never completed. This is primarily due to my moving out of the Beyblade fandom and into the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom.
Now, eight years late, I feel it is time this fic finally saw the light of day. My beloved supports this notion and is urging me to complete the third part, but only time will tell given that eight years is a long time to remember where I was originally heading.
