Act I - Sonnet

When we were all young with our fullest hearts
He was quieter than most, fearful of fate
What of girls, made of all fixed, baffling parts?
The signs were clear; everyone assumed him straight
He grew into closeted desire and pride
His father’s domineering gaze, naming crime
The classes filled with couples as he died
What did his father want

I like your intention here, as well as the way you played with the form.

The intention was brought on by a close friend's first entry for this season of LJ Idol and the recent, huge anti-bullying campaigns from numerous organizations, all of which I agree with and contribute to. Playing with the form just was fun, as I'd researched sonnets earlier and felt it was time to see where I could take that. Thanks for reading and commenting!
