I have spent the last three and a half months working as a field organizer for the Barack Obama campaign. That's three and a half months of seeing my wife and our kids for less than an hour each day. I've just arrived at the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center for the Unitarian Universalist General Assembly. We drove from 3:45 am straight through. The Convention Center is a sea of earth-tone jackets and guys-wearing-socks-with-sandals. If you know something cool to do in Fort Lauderdale, please post it.

Is a Mummy a Zombie? Like, those walking Mummies in old '50s horror. They're dead people, right, and they walk. But they don't eat people like a regular zombie would. Maybe it's because their mouth is covered in gauze. But they usually just look like they're trying to strangle people, not eat them. So, does a Mummy count as a Zombie?

Harry Houdini is a skilled escape artist, having learned how to scale a four-foot chain link fence and get out of his crate undetected. We adopted The Great Houdini last week, and our friends helped out with some boarding and some major Amish-style fence-building.
