So we had our annual Christmas Bash this year although later than normal, but still had a good turn out! This years theme was a Florida Christmas. Everything was wrapped around florida and citrus. So we got some shrimp on sale and I was thinking what to do with it when I decided on Gumbo! What a warm yummy thing when its chili outside! So, I have made Gumbo only once before and I did it without Gumbo File, It was good but not what it was tonight, so I’m logging the recipe and sharing with you guys while it's still fresh in my mind :)

 We have one of those self serve honor system little shack of a veggie stand around the corner from us.. The guy has the most amazing tomatoes, and a lot of other stuff as well when it's in season, but the other day I found some beautiful Okra.. Man this okra was huge, and just gorgeous, so I grabbed some up!

We have made this salsa a couple times now and it has been a HUGE hit.. It's so yummy and has a good kick but a good cooling too!
I'll take a picture next time I make it. 

• 1 Cucumber peeled and diced into small chunks
• 3-4 Avocados diced into small chunks
• Lime (juiced)
• 1/2 red onion diced into small chunks
• 1/2 bunch of cilantro chopped up

Ok I realize I need to post more recipes and I'm totally slacking lol.. So here is what was for dinner tonight!
I was inspired for this from one of Jamie Olivers BBQ Rib dishes so I took some tips from him and created my own variation.

Marinade:

1. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (or dried cumin)
2. 5 cloves
3. S&P to taste
4. 2 stems Fresh rosemary

 Wow! That was my reaction as I walked into my first ever Whole foods.. Where I live we don't have such wonders of the world.. no Trader Joes, nothing fun and exciting like I hear about from the World Wide web.
