Quick post from England. Our "real" flight left Monday at 10:30pm after the first flight took off and immediately landed due to an overheating engine. We arrived in London at about 11am UK time. Today I discovered MediaMan, a Windows-based direct ripoff of Delicious Library (which is for Macs only). I have to say, though, that it's probably one of my favorite ripoffs of all time. A few weeks ago I sent yet another email that was meant to have an attachment, while forgetting to attach anything. I realized that, since I usually mention the attachment in the body of the email, it ought to be simple to create a plugin for Thunderbird that would look for words like "attach" and remind me that I have not actually attached ( Read more... ) -

The spam blockers have won one. I love to see spam that has degenerated so much, in order to avoid spam blockers, that it is no longer legible. This happened a few years ago for text emails, where words like "viagra" became "v14-gr A". Eventually spammers realized that weaseling their spam through the filters didn't do them any good if humans could ( Read more... ) -

Bush's administration argues vehemently that this is not a civil war, while commentary from the other aisle argues that it is. Fall 2006 GTSO Shirt, Beta
Emily sent me her draft of the "That's All, Buzz" design that we're going for this year, and I vectorized it this evening in Illustrator. The slogan was Ron's idea, though I think it's a little goofy. I'm also not sure of the exact specifications regarding color use, size, and placement on the shirt. To boldly split infinitives that no man had split before
I have noticed lately that I avoid splitting infinitives even when I'm speaking; a fact I noticed after someone at Nique deadline called me on it. I said something like "I needed really to earn some money...". However, I've realized also that I avoid splitting not only infinitives, but also some progressive and perfect-tense verbs as well.
