Yesterday I started working at Sikorsky. Monday I worked at Yale then was told not to return. Wednesday I called a friend of mine who works at Sikorsky, she gave me the number of the temp agency that placed her there. I called them the same day and they told me they would get back to me. So today I worked my second day at Yale. Everything seemed to be going ok, then I mentioned to my boss that I will be needing to see a dentist as soon as possible. I have a broken molar that has gotten to the point that I have an exposed nerve. I have spent most of the weekend living on ibuprofen and anbasol. Her reaction was less then favorable. I made the tough decision to have Squeeker put to sleep. It was scheduled for Saturday at 10:30 in the morning so both Kat and I could be there. Last night while I was in school it seemed pretty obvious that she would not make it till Saturday. My day started with a phone call waking me up to tell me I have a job. Yay. Starting Friday I will be doing "material handling" at Yale. Basically from 8:30-5:00 Monday through Friday I will be moving furniture and such around the Yale campus in preparation for back to school. This is a temp job but there is no end date. I have been doing the best I can to feed Squeeker upto 8 times a day like the vet said. At this point I am really fighting an uphill battle. What I began doing was giving her an anti-biotic twice a day, an inch of Nutri-cal 4 times a day and feeding her a special canned food mixed with water through a syring 8 times a day. Ok, day one was very orienting. Day two was very safe. Day three I got to learn how to install and remove a light, switch and outlet. I would assume that everything won't be as easy as that or else there would be a hell of alot more electricians in the world.
