strike
The USW contract expires on Feb 1st for the many of the wage personnel in refining. No agreement has been announced yet. I'm in no way part of the negotiations, but both sides seem to be gearing up for a possible strike. Well. I'm in california now- just south of LA. transferred to a new job. i'm still adjusting to my new role, and since i'm at a refinery and not a polite-but-stuffy office, people are more likely to laugh at me than tell me what i'm doing wrong. for example, this evening i taught a benzene monitor training and three guys laughed all the way ( Read more... ) -
