Kindergarten!
Registered Peanut for Kindergarten here, in case we don't end up moving. Her preschool will take her on a field trip to that elementary school later this year, very exciting. -
Tooth Fairy!
Peanut's first tooth came out yesterday. The tooth fairy was evidently impressed that it was her first tooth, because she gave her $5 for it. I'm pretty sure I used to get a dime. -
First loose tooth!
Peanut has her first loose tooth today. She is very excited, and ran right off to go bite into an apple to see if the tooth would come out (sigh). It's one of the lower incisors. We knew it would come loose soon because the adult tooth was pushing up behind it ( Read more... ) -

Glad it's not me
Cox has had an email outage for about 24 hours now. I am so glad we never had one that bad when I worked for EarthLink. Email is such a fragile service. -
Yay, no jury duty!
Got to hear those lovely words today "Your jury service for this term has ended. You are no longer required to report or call for instructions".
I don't know how long before they can summon me again. -

Our 16 year old cat Misty, who Jen got in Atlanta before we were married, was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease Friday. We are going to have the vet put him down on Monday ( Read more... ) -
Jury duty
I got a summons for federal jury duty next month. In response Peanut drew me a pretty picture of hearts and flowers and herself crying because I had to go to jury duty. I think I will take that with me. -
First day of second year of preschool
Peanut's first day of preschool was today. She had a great time. There are 14 girls and 6 boys in her class. I'm sure Peanut will like this, since she doesn't like to play with the boys anyway. Crayola 3D sidewalk chalk
I bought some Crayola 3D sidewalk chalk for Peanut yesterday. I hadn't seen it before, although it's evidently been around for a while. It comes with special glasses that create a 3-D effect by making some colors look closer and others farther away. It works quite well.
