The last I heard, the correct response to seeing a flock of seagulls is to decide "this is the place" and build Salt Lake City; however, according to my reference book on bird signs it means I need more laughter in my life. Local reporting on the Democratic caucus said it was the first-ever caucus in Kansas. There was an interview with an Obama person who said so, and the Kansas City star said it, too. It was the third one I've participated in. Maybe I've just lost my grip on reality.

For you epidemiologists out there, I believe the flu exposure occurred on my trip to New York last week. I flew into LaGuardia airport on Wednesday and back to KC on Thursday night, going through Atlanta both ways.  Sunday night I again had the fever in spite of taking both ibuprofen and Tylenol.
