I've gotten as far as I can on the shawl until I get some more thread.  I plan bright topstitching along the seams, as  woolen slacks are drab.  Once I've done that, I'll applique leaf-shapes in vivid colors over the moth holes.  Finished, it will offer the same coverage as a jacket.

We've been out to the thrift stores.  I found several pair of wool trousers, green plaid flannel sheets, blue jersey sheets, a white cotton top sheet (the fitted was disgustingly stained, so I left it), a gingham check shirt to make the dress for the "Dorothy" doll, and a jersey dress of cherries on a yellow ground ( Read more... )
