FAQ
Q1. What is Deadman Wonderland?
A1. You should have read the game specifics. But fine, because I like you...Deadman Wonderland is actually a manga written by Jinsei Kataoka and illustrated by Kazuma Kondou. The plot is the same, but the characters (obviously) and some details are different. We recommend reading this manga, not only because it's good, but because it will help you understand the game a bit better.
Q2. What if my character has no special powers?
A2. Then you are a sadist. Okay, okay, for a serious answer, if you are playing an average Joe, then they will probably die in the Carnival Corpse. When the die, they are revived with a crystal that gives them special powers so that they won't die as quickly next time. Hopefully.
Q3. I don't want my character to lose body parts/die of poison! Is there a way I can avoid this?
A3. No. You should look into another RP, probably.
Q4. Okay, explain the bird thing.
A4. Well, keeping along with the tradition of the manga, every inmate in the G Sector is given a codename of a bird. Why? Eccentricity on part of the Warden, probably. You can find a list of "taken" birds and suggestion birds
here.
Q5. Can Deadman Wonderland characters be applied for?
A5. This depends on the character. The only characters that cannot be applied without special permission from the moderators are Undertakers and Shiro because of their hax roles in the series. Everyone else is fair game!
Q6. My character uses a weapon to fight. Do the keep it?
A6. Unfortunately (for them), no. They arrive with only what is listed. However, for some reason, it's said that inmates weapons are available for purchase through the Vendor.
Q7. Concerning the characters' histories, should they be OU or AU?
A7. For now, this game is OU only! However, if there's a particular demand after the game is up and running for AU-verse characters, we may consider adding an option for AU characters.
Q8. Can characters with the ability teleport?
A8. Somewhat! They will find that they cannot go out of the bounds of Deadman Wonderland, or to the "civilian entertainment areas", but they can teleport within the jail itself. How? Magic.
Q9. Do characters have to be human?
A9. This is on a case by case basis. If you have characters like Amaterasu from Okami, where they already have established powers and/or the ability to speak, then we're more likely to consider it. Humanoid characters are fine, but locking up a character like Kuroneko in a prison seems odd. If you have a question whether a character fits or not, please ask!
Q10. My character is immortal. Do they keep their immortality?
A10. You bet~ Immortals tend to have an advantage at Deadman Wonderland to begin with because the poison and losing the Carnival Corpse isn't a huge deal for them if it will regenerate, but once the Doctor figures out they're immortal, she'll likely start developing alternative poisons for them.
