Hey, a few of you are good at languages, right? I'm reading Her Fearful Symmetry, and there are a couple of places where they don't translate things. Here is what it says (should I label this for spoilers? I don't think it's stuff that's important to the plot ...)

Saturday in the kitchen
My little brother is a percussion major, and tomorrow is his junior recital. Sooo ....
( I spent today in the kitchen ... when I wasn't making yet another run to the grocery store for more of this or that. ) -
Perfect.
I spontaneously asked for tomorrow off. A cold front and thunderstorm that has been promised all day is just arriving, and it's supposed to last through the night and into tomorrow morning. And me all snug and cozy at home with nothing to do except for read and stay warm.
(ETA: The temp dropped from 81 to 61 just in the past hour.) -
Happy Banned Books Week (a little late)
Tomorrow is book club (and not the kind where we do spells to get good mortgages, either).
