wow! what a crazy / hectic / stressful / etc. weekend. but, we are in the apt now and i even have "art" on the walls! Let the visiting begin! (hint, hint!)

but this time bearing my furniture!!! we are moving into our apt this weekend. thank goodness that is has stopped raining.

Located 15 miles south of Downtown Denver, the 400,000-square-foot proposed IKEA Centennial will be ~1 hr from me. (A store opening date has not yet been determined. ) mr.deankat will be greatly relieved when this opens. he graciously went to the RR IKEA for me this week to pick up "a few things" for the new apt. ;}

on Saturday (9/6), mr.deankat and i rode from our new apt to the beginning of the weekly tri ride start and out a little ways.  we rode for ~1hr. felt fine - was able to climg ok/strongly. yay!

today has been a real bust weather-wise; cold, rainy, just generally yucky. the weekend is supposed to be nice though with high's in the low 70s.  they tell me that fall has started and that the farmer's almanac said this year winter will start early and be snowy.

we signed a lease on an apt (1br/1ba) yesterday morning. (and we got 2 garages to hold cars, bikes, ski equipment, etc!) finding a place to rent has been exhausting!
 - it is in North Boulder somewhat close to where i would like to evenutally buy a house. this way i can check out the neighborhoods.

i'm going to do the Vegas 1/2 marathon (again; 2006=full, 2007=1/2) this year since i'll be in Vegas anyway for mr.deankat's b-day and the NFR (Nationals Final Rodeo).  I have 14 weeks to get ready. we'll see how this goes ...
