I'm spent. This week has been grueling and all I feel like doing right now is curling up with my furbabies and a good book. But since I'm at work, that's not going to happen so I think I will do as little work as possible. Maybe surf the net and do some sketching instead.

And we don't even get Monday off. Pbbbbbbbbbbbbbbt.

with the landscaping. THANK GOD. I'm tired of dealing with our contractor and ready to enjoy the yard. What's left is the wood gate install, and wiring for path lighting and uplights. Its so lovely to be rid of the dirt! We really like everything and feel it gives us a great start. I already have this itch to plant some other flowers in the planter ( Read more... )

Saturday we met with our landscaper's wife who does the plants/trees part of the landscaping. We met with her at our home and went to a nursery to pick out plants. This was much fun for me as I am no green thumb, so I was enthralled at all the options and look forward to a very green backyard. FYI, Gap has a great sale going on if anyone is interested. Lots of pants on sale for $19.99. Yesterday, I just stopped in to browse around, but walked out $96 poorer. :D

Haven't posted pics of my furbabies in a while, but these were too funny to pass up.

My parents gave their "grandchildren" this wacky toy and here they are investigating it for the first time. It works better to just hold the individual sticks to play with them, as they bite it and drag the whole apparatus behind them!

As mentioned in the previous post, Dave and I were both home the entire week of new year's. In that time we planned to relax, but also wanted to be around for anything having to do with landscaping.
