Clean House...Mostly.
OMFG! My house is mostly clean. I just can't even believe it. The Parish has some high school kids doing some work here, and they will be staying with church members and myself. Which means that I needed a clean house. The only rooms that could still use some real work are my office and bedroom. My office will be mostly together tomorrow ( Read more... ) -

I have so much stuff going on in my head right now. I was listening to NPR this morning, and all they are talking about is the economy and the loss of jobs. It freaks me out. Amazing
Wow. I can hardly believe Obama won. I woke up yesterday morning and thought, "Today is the day." And quickly got up, and ready, and ran for the polls. When it was called for him, I looked at my kitties and said, "It's changed." A Cleansing....
I spent three nights in the greater Cleveland area this past week. I went home to see J -- and to see Karen...and not to see my Mom. When I was home over vacation, she was monitoring my comings and goings very closely. Loving Kindness
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to hear my favorite professor, Michael Kinnamon, speak to an Ecumenical group in Columbus. I, of course, was simply excited to get to see him. It has been nearly 2 years since I left Eden, and Michael's heavy gaze...a gaze that was frequently protective, always supportive and sometimes critical.

Assassination Attempt.
It was only a matter of time. The Boys, Biff and Josh, have taken over the house and are now trying to kill me. I came home from a meeting today, and slipped, in a bunch of "spilled" water from their water dish. I didn't fall, but I twisted my neck and back in such away that I am now stiff. I am trying not to freak out. And it is very hard. I don't understand things, and I am feeling very insecure at the moment. I guess it doesn't matter. I just need to turn it off, and work. Tired
I am tired. Although I had fun in Cleveland, emotionally, I am exhausted. It was nice not to be around church people for nearly two days. I didn't have to talk to anyone unless I wanted to...and I could drink wine, and not worry about a church person calling or stopping by if I had more than would be "acceptable".

Ok. I've been talking to J. all day today. It's been mostly good, talking about what we usually talk about. Talking about what we're going to do when I come home on Thursday.
