My Church Guy
My church guy died today at around 5. I had been up to see him around 3, read scripture and prayed with him. It was weird. I knew he was going to die, and had heard stories about how some people, who are deeply spiritual, when having scriptures read to them, frequent let themselves go while that is happening.

Sometimes caring hurts a lot.
Yeah, I received a phone call today that one of my favorite people in the Parish, is in ICU. He developed a kink in his small intestine, it died, and ruptured. They went in and took it out, but whatever was in his intestine is now in the rest of his body. He is on a respirator, and coherent right now. Sometimes I am just amazed at how much seminary taught me. Ssshh, don't let them know that. ;-) Too often, I feel like I am asking the question, "And why didn't seminary teach me that?" Yeah, the date-ish thing yesterday didn't happen. Turns out it was a good thing too, because I had someone have emergency surgery yesterday evening. But this is how it all went down. Writer's Block: Your First Record
The first album I remember owning was Wham! Wake Me Up! LOL. It was a Christmas present from my cool uncle. My cousin and I loved the album and I can remember dancing in the grandparent's family room to the title track. Yeah, I thought I was cool....so the group was comprised of George Michael and that other guy....who was that other guy?? -

These past couple of days have been laced with hospital visits. I like hospitals, as long as I'm not the one admitted. I like the perceived order, and talking with the nurses. Ok seriously. I need some boy action...and I am feeling or acting quite neurotic at the moment. I've been living in Southeastern Ohio for awhile now. Nearly 6 months!
