I heard something last night too.

It wasn't screaming though, but prehaps I was too far off to hear it. It was fainter, like someone humming. There were noises outside the door. ...Perhaps I should have been more frightened than I was?

Well, that...wasn't pleasant, the other day. But it's over now, so that's a relief. It's better off remaining in the past just like everything else.
