Horses at Home!!!!!

Good News and Bad News
The good news is that the horses are both here in my back pasture and, when it gets daylight, I will be able to see them out the kitchen window near my computer. More good news is they are safe and sane and eating and drinking fine after their trailer trip here. Horses
Last evening we went for a ride on our new horses at their current boarding barn (the barn). Red did great on bridling -- was nervous about saddling. He went in litle circles, fast, but stayed right by me so I got him done up pretty quick. By then Lexie and Pedro showed up. Friday and Saturday
Friday night we went to the team penning in Port Allen. I had never seen this before. A three-person horse team goes up to a little herd of calves which have numbers on them. The judge calls out a number and that calf has to be cut out fist and then in number orser until all 10 are cut or the wrong one runs out. It looked like great fun!

I just found out that Red and Cim are REGISTERED, AQHA, I assume. I was asking M what to put on the sale papers and she said they both are registered. They have cool registered names! I would love and want them anyway, but its fun to find out more about them ( Read more... ) -
