ok. apparently this is the deal.

we start off with no knowledge of what we've been born into, and our brains are (assumedly) completely unshaped, totally ready for information. we get an avalanche of it. we learn to organise these mountains of information rapidly and this forces our brains to create neural pathways to channel the information, ( Read more... )

we are always asked to explain why we are interested in this or that, especially if it is out of the mainstream. for example:

ok its been ages.. but i don't care. here is my take on the year we're enduring right now....

2005 so far - number of:

• fairy-tales i have written and illustrated: 1
• number of publishers who have expressed interest in my fairy-tale: 4
• job interviews i have had: 3
• bookshop jobs i have held: 2
• male friends i have kissed: 1

and about the same time that everything seems lost, someone wanders right into the firing solution and you can't do anything except hold your fire.

i always seem to land on astrology predictions when i'm lost. funny thing is, the ones that resonate most with me are those that seem to be a true direct consequence from stuff that has actually been happening, ie stuff that i could have assigned a strong predictive probability to from doing a self-analysis based on my neurosociological profile ( Read more... )
