As always, Magnus is being an insomniac and doing work in the lab well past the godly hours. A rarity, however, is the quiet Gershwin she has playing. Usually, as most know, she prefers a silent setting to work in, but tonight is different for some inexplicable reason.

Cabal-induced viruses, Magnus has learned, are really not very fun, as she seems to have contracted something particularly nasty over the last evening. And anyone who knows Magnus will also know that she is never ill (one of the few blessings of her blood, ever since injecting the Source, but only few are privy to that factoid ( Read more... ) -

After two weeks in Spain, Mumbai, and the UK (all business, no pleasure, so no, she didn't bring home any souvenirs or gifts, for which she apologizes for), Magnus has finally returned home. Business with the Cabal aside, Magnus wouldn't be a mother if she couldn't spare a few minutes from her day to talk to her daughter. Ever since the rather startling discovery of Ashley being in a relationship with Dr. Macrae, Magnus has been made painfully aware of how much she isn't there.
