I just saw in the news headlines that author Frank McCourt is gravely ill and not expected to survive. His is one of the most luminous voices I have ever "heard" from the written page. Peace, Frank, and may the angels lead you gently home.

Saw HBP last night at midnight. Won't go into spoilers, though I'm dying to talk about it, but I can't discuss the ending. Why? BECAUSE I DIDN'T GET TO SEE IT!!! An estimated five minutes of footage was missed at the end of the film (pretty much the entire wrap-up) because of technical difficulties in the theater. Three nights left of the run and I'll have my evenings back, hah! It's going very well, and I'm having a great time, but we're in direct competition with the area's long-time community theater group putting on a production of The Music Man.
