Went exploring the Sebago Lake region of southeastern Maine yesterday, partly to see, for myself, what the rural1 parts of the state has to offer, and partly to give our new wheels2 a proper road test.

After just over thirteen years of excellent service, the Volvo has been written off after the damage it sustained last week. We were hoping for between $500 and $1,000, but after we submitted receipts for the recent services it received, it was actually valued at $3,500.
