We are getting settled into the new house. Unpacking, finding places for things and swearing we will never move again. Things are going along well and the loss from the move has been very minimal. We are moved out of our home in Longmont, it was a long, trying process but now we are finished. Moving is never fun and when you have not done any weeding out of things for four years it can be ugly. Ward Churchill was fired yesterday, isn't it great? For those not in the know he was the professor at CU that made the statement that the people killed in the terrorist attacks on Sept.11 were "little Eichmanns". Things are starting to come together for the big move. We have a place to live, a mover and we are both enrolled and registered. It will be a bag of mixed emotions to leave and start this new chapter of our lives and marriage but we are ready. There has been a lot of good here, but also a lot of bad. I found out yesterday that I was also accepted into a Master of Science in Legal Administration program at DU (University of Denver). This degree was basically an MBA for law firms and public organizations. They have an online program that I could have done from Alabama. YEAH!!! I received an e-mail this morning letting me know that I have been accepted into the graduate program at the University of Alabama in Women's Studies. I am so excited. I am woman hear me ROAR!!!!!!!!

Today I was at Petsmart or Catsmart as the girls prefer it was the usual crowd people with various size dogs, etc. There was one leash however that had a white ferret on the end. He was a good size ferret but compared to most of the dogs he was quite small. The most amusing part of it was the look on the dogs faces when they saw the ferret. ( Read more... )

I am so tired of this new push to make being a redneck a good thing. It is on TV, on country stations and singers. We need to clear this up, a redneck is not a good thing.
